General Safety

Please take heed to this general advice on staying safe and secure online, which includes

the use of your smartphones, which are "mobile computers" in your hand and easily "hackable",

like any other PC or Laptop.

Here are some good tips to follow:

ALWAYS STAY VIGILANT OF ANY ONLINE ACTIVITY CONCERNING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION !!!

• Don't post or over-share Personal Info on Social Media. (Kids names, home address,

• ALWAYS utilize a paid VPN Service (If available).

• Maintain Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware Software on your computers/smartphones.

• Secure your Wi-Fi Router. Checkout the "Home WiFi " Page.

• ALWAYS Create VERY Strong passwords and DO NOT use the SAME password.

• Be careful with unsecured Wi-Fi.  ALWAYS use a VPN. (Always use HTTPs, if possible).

• Don't be "fooled" by Phishing Scams! NEVER submit information through email or chat apps/software from un-encrypted or unknown sources.

• Monitor Credit Card and Bank Accounts closely and frequently!  (Daily if possible).

• DO NOT use your "Native" Messing App on your smartphone. See Secure Messaging.

• NEVER give out Personal Information Over-the-Phone or through Text to ANYONE that you don't know or trust!
