SMARTPHONE ADVICE
It's very important to understand that your SmartPhone IS A COMPUTER, with an Operating System, that just happens to have a Phone Feature built inside. It is no different than a Laptop or PC, its just a much smaller version. So because of this FACT, it is subject to being "Hacked", like ANY other computer.
Here are a few Tips and Advice to keep your Smartphone Safe & Secure:
1 - Use a PIN Code for a "Screen Lock" on your Phone
2 - Install a "Virus/Malware" Checker and run frequently
3 - Install and USE a Paid VPN Service App and run actively !!
4 - NEVER go Online at a PUBLIC WiFi Hotspot without using a VPN !!
5 - Turn OFF "Location Services", "Bluetooth", "Phone Visibility" and "GPS" unless you absolutely NEED IT !! (If you do use or need it, DISABLE it immediately after utilizing it)
6 - Install a History Eraser to CLEAR all "Cached Data" from various Apps used!
7 - Enable "Encryption" on your SmartPhone. Once your device is encrypted, you will need to enter a PIN or Password to "Decrypt" it everytime you turn your phone on!
8 - Use a Privacy Screen-Guard to hide your screen from "prying eyes".
9 - Install a WiFi Manager to view/manage your WiFi connections. Ensure you NEVER connect to an "Insecure" WiFi connection. If so, TURN ON your VPN immediately!
10 - Install & Use an "App Lock" or comparable Application Lock to protect vital Apps.
(ex: Play/App Store, Settings, File Manager, etc.)
11 - DO NOT Allow "Usage Tracking" from certain Apps on your SmartPhone, as it does MORE than Track just your usage!
12 - Always check the "Permission Details" of ANY App before downloading it, to see exactly what "access" it requires. If it requires "too much" access, then DON'T download it.
DO NOT use your "Native" Messing App on your smartphone.
It is inherently "insecure" and send out your text messages in "Plain Text", readable by anyone is who may intercept those messages in-route to its destination. ONLY use "Encrypted Chat Software Apps", to send private/confidential or sensitive information to those you trust only.

They all use End-to-End Encryption, which is a system of communication where only the communicating users can read the messages and Client-side encryption, which is the cryptographic technique of encrypting data on the sender's side, before it is transmitted to a server such as a cloud storage service.
